작년 1월말에 대기자 명단에 이름을 올리고 정확히 1년 2개월만에 제 순서가 돌아왔습니다. Astro-Physics가 공장을 증설했다더니만 엄청 빨라졌습니다. 그런데 굴절 경통 160EDF는 4년반이 되었건만 아직도 꿩꿔먹은 소식입니다.
사실 아래 메일을 받고 기쁨보다는 아쉬움... 안타까움... 슬픔이 밀려왔습니다. 너무나 좋은 적도의인데 구입할 여건이... T.T 대신 냉각CCD(SBIG new ST-10XME) 구입 추진으로 마음을 달래고 있습니다. 그러던 차에 어떻게 이야기가 되어 저에게 주어진 기회를 다른 분에게 드릴 수 있게 되었습니다. AP 규정상 명의를 변경하면 모든 것이 취소가 되기에 제가 대행해드리는 것으로... 어찌보면 우리나라에 들어올 적도의 한대가 그냥 날아갈뻔 했었는데 잘 된 것 같습니다.
EQ 1200GTO 적도의는 다음에 또 기회가 있을 것이라 생각됩니다. 이제는 경통이 기다려집니다. ^^

Some time ago, you informed us that you were interested in the 1200GTO German Equatorial Mount and placed your name on the notification list. These mounts are now well into production and we are offering them to the people, such as yourself, who have been waiting the longest.

If you would like to order this mount, please contact us prior to 12 p.m. CST on Monday, April 3, 2006. A 50% deposit will be required at the time of your order. Do not include your credit card information in any e-mail you send. E-mail is not secure. Please call or fax to provide your number. If you wish to send a personal check, cashier's check or money order, it will not affect your place in line. However, you must let us know that you plan to order so that we reserve the earliest slot available to you, and then be sure your deposit is postmarked by the deadline date. If we have not heard from you prior to the deadline noted above, we will offer the mount to the next person on the notification list.

Estimated delivery will be scheduled beginning in September 2006 and will progress for several months. You will receive your estimated delivery month when you place your order. Please note that the remaining balance of this mount will be due prior to shipment.
We encourage you to order accessories for your mount as soon as you have decided on the items you need. We usually have sufficient quantities on hand for last minute additions to your order. However, we cannot guarantee that we will have the desired item in stock if you wait. If everyone orders at the last minute, we will not know the quantity of each item to have on hand. This is particularly true of the piers, since so many size options are available. A 50% deposit is required for any accessories that are ordered. For this, we will guarantee the current price at the time of shipment.
Unfortunately, the production runs for mounts and telescopes are planned separately and will be offered independent of one another. There is no way we can guarantee that if you order a mount now, you will be offered an Astro-Physics refractor this year as well. The same is true if you order a refractor later, you may not be able to order a mount at the same time. Each telescope (or mount) order will be delivered when it is completed, regardless of whether the corresponding mount (or refractor) is completed. We apologize for this policy; however can see no better way to deal with our difficult backorder situation.
We have decided that the only fair way to offer the mounts and refractors is by the date that each person expressed interest in a particular item on our notification list. Your position on one list does not correlate with your position on another.
